Election Commission Allocates Election Symbols for 2026 HoR Polls

Kathmandu: The Election Commission has distributed election symbols to political parties registered for the House of Representatives (HoR) election scheduled for March 5, 2026.
102 Parties Receive Individual Symbols
Out of 120 political parties that applied to participate in the HoR elections, 102 parties have been assigned separate election symbols, according to Commission spokesperson Nxarayan Prasad Bhattarai.
12 Parties Granted Joint Symbol
The Commission has also provided a joint election symbol to 12 political parties that applied as alliances to contest the election together.
With this, the Commission has allocated a total of 107 election symbols.
Total Participation and Registration Status
-143 political parties are officially registered with the Commission.
-114 parties will be participating in the upcoming election.
A total of 107 election symbols will be used during the polls.
